how to add a link to myspace
adding a link to your myspace site is pretty easy. once you are logged into the myspace edit profile mode (click on home to get there),click on "safe mode" and in the proper section where you want the link just click "edit" and paste the
code below.
you have to change myspacelink to the url (web address) you want the link to go to. you also have to change "link name" to what you want to name the link. this is the text that will show up on the webpage and be clickable. nothing else changes. this is the way to add a link to any webpage on the net in your html document.
if you add multiple links and want them stacked just add a break after every link like this.
its a simple break and you can use as many as you want. the more you add, the bigger the space between the two stacked links will be. without a break "two links" will remain side by side. if you need space above the link just add a break or two or three above it.
FOR TOTAL NEWBIES TO HTML
if you have never edited an html document in your life dont sweat it. myspace makes it pretty easy on you. once you click on "safe mode" via "home" top left of your myspace profile everything is in html. if your just starting starting out paste your link at the bottom of one of your sections you are editing. this way it will be easy going back and deleting it if you get your ass in a crack. myspace also gives you a chance to preview the page before you submit it. it will be formatted differently but you will still be able to see if your on the good foot. if its not what you like just hit cancel or go back and edit.
hope this help's. once again, i am no web guru expert. i know just enough to be efficient at web design. i just like helping others like others helped me. feel free to respond, help and if you have any questions about anything myspace im sure someone would be glad to help. i will personally do my best. any questions unrelated to this topic should start a brand new post in the proper myspace music forum category.
